Episodes: 12
Premiered: SUMMER 2011
Source: Manga
Genres: Action, Horror,

I enjoyed the fights, visceral
and intense as they are. I didn't notice any awkward pacing or choppy
execution. I was enamored by the mystery and the ending justified much of the
series for me

4-Elfen Lied

Elfen Lied: Infamous for its bloody mess of gore, cruelty and
nudity. A combination that could make many a person turn away. Yet, a huge
number of people watch this, knowing (to some extent) what they're going into,
and it's one of the more popular and well-rated series . Some people call it a
'masterpiece', people some call it 'perverted', some people don't know what to
say, and some call it 'horrible'. The first is true, the second is an
exaggeration, the third is understandable, and the fourth is so wrong.

SHORT REVIEW
Elfen Lied, Higurashi, Another think you know gore?
I introduce Corpse Party
Corpse Party is a COMPLETELY horror anime.
Basically a group of students suddenly find themselves in an older version of
their school which is haunted. They try to get out and survive.
7-Another
Episodes: 12
Premiered: Winter 2012
Source: Manga
Genres: Horror, Mystery, School, Supernatural, Thrille
This series never goes where
you expect it to, but it manages this without being a particularly complicated
story, which is quite an achievement. I've read and watched many mystery
stories, and I have found that nothing ruins the story more than confusion caused
by an overloaded storyline and a huge ensemble of characters. Here, it is
simple: one tightly-written, carefully thought out storyline involving a
relatively small number of characters, which proves surprisingly durable as a
twelve episode series,
