I loved this one .. best sword fight .. 26 episode long and full of surprises yet i hated the ending but a good anime .. aired in May 2004 ... it made a good ranking .. it was translated in 5 language so it must mean something right .. ( English. German. Italian. Spanish. Korean)

Background:

Samurai Champloo is the only anime to have featured music from the Japanese hip-hop producer Nujabes prior to his death in 2010. The anime also spawned the 2006 video game Samurai Champloo: Sidetracked for the PlayStation 2.

The show aired in two parts, with the first half airing Thursdays at 2:28 AM on Fuji TV from May 20, 2004 to September 23, 2004, and the second half airing Saturdays at 10:30 AM on BS Fuji from January 22, 2005 to March 19, 2005.

Geneon Entertainment USA originally licensed and released the show in North America, but after their closure in late 2007, the show went out of print. FUNimation Entertainment later entered a distribution deal with Geneon to distribute some of their titles, including Samurai Champloo. After the distribution deal ended, FUNimation later outright licensed the series.

Synopsis:

Fuu Kasumi is a young and clumsy waitress who spends her days peacefully working in a small teahouse. That is, until she accidentally spills a drink all over one of her customers! With a group of samurai now incessantly harassing her, Fuu desperately calls upon another samurai in the shop, Mugen, who quickly defeats them with his wild fighting technique, utilizing movements reminiscent to that of breakdancing. Unfortunately, Mugen decides to pick a fight with the unwilling ronin Jin, who wields a more precise and traditional style of swordfighting, and the latter proves to be a formidable opponent. The only problem is, they end up destroying the entire shop as well as accidentally killing the local magistrate's son.

For their crime, the two samurai are captured and set to be executed. However, they are rescued by Fuu, who hires the duo as her bodyguards. Though she no longer has a place to return to, the former waitress wishes to find a certain samurai who smells of sunflowers and enlists the help of the now exonerated pair to do so. Despite initially disapproving of this idea, the two eventually agree to assist the girl in her quest; thus, the trio embark upon an adventure to find this mysterious warrior—that is, if Fuu can keep Mugen and Jin from killing each other.

Set in an alternate Edo Period of Japan, Samurai Champloo follows the journey of these three eccentric individuals in an epic quest full of action, comedy, and dynamic sword fighting, all set to the beat of a unique hip-hop infused soundtrack.

Jin is a mild-mannered vagrant ronin who carries himself in the conventionally stoic manner of a samurai of the Tokugawa era. Using his waist-strung daishou, he fights in the traditional kenjutsu style of a samurai trained in a prominent, sanctioned dojo. 

Jin wears glasses, an available but uncommon accessory in Edo era Japan. Jin seldom talks and Fuu seems to prefer him to Mugen. He is reputed to have killed his dojo master and his history is shrouded in mystery.

Fuu Kasumi : 

Age: 15

The girl that brought Mugen and Jin together. Her mother dead, and her father missing for years, we first see her as a teahouse waitress. When the teahouse gets burned down, she takes it as a sign to begin her quest to find the sunflower samurai. 

Hidden somewhere in her clothes is Momo-san, her pet flying squirrel, to sometimes help her out of a jam. Fuu is brave, determined, and when she has to improvise (mostly when they're hungry), she uses her wits to reach the goal.

Sword Style: "Champloo Kendo" 

Mugen is rude, vulgar, and often thinks highly of himself. Much of his past is a mystery. He was born on the Ryukyu Islands, never knew his parents, and was a former pirate. After an incident forced him to fake his death, he became a vagabond. But things changed after he met Jin and Fuu. Though very rough around the edges, he has a mutual understanding with Jin and cares for Fuu more than he lets out, considering he usually ends up going after her whenever she gets kidnapped. 

His fighting style is described as a "champloo", which means "mix". It combines all sorts of martial arts, unorthodox swordplay and break dancing. He relies on instinct and reflex to surprise his enemies. 

His style of clothing represents the future, whereas Jin's represents the past. His black hair is usually untidy, and is similar in shape to an afro.

Seiken Tsukai no World Break takes place at Akane Private Academy where students who possess memories of their previous lives are being trained to use Ancestral Arts so that they can serve as defenders against monsters, called Metaphysical, who randomly attack. Known as saviors, the students are broken up into two categories: the kurogane who are able to use their prana to summon offensive weapons and the kuroma who are able to use magic.

The story begins six months prior to the major climax of the series during the opening ceremonies on the first day of the school year. After the ceremony is over, the main character, Moroha Haimura, meets a girl named Satsuki Ranjou who reveals that she was Moroha's little sister in a past life where Moroha was a heroic prince capable of slaying entire armies with his sword skills. Soon afterwards he meets another girl, Shizuno Urushibara, who eventually reveals that she also knew Moroha in an entirely different past life where he was a dark lord capable of using destructive magic but saved her from a life of slavery. 1-Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (Assassination Classroom)

So if students can be cool then surely, teachers can be too! And speaking of teachers, I bet that everyone would agree that the coolest teacher of the all is the weird, wacky, octopus-like teacher—Koro-sensei!

Out of the blue, the moon got a huge chunk of it destroyed! The prime suspect? It’s an octopus-like creature of insurmountable power! Yup, that’s Koro-sensei! He’s Koro-sensei now because he asked the government if he could be a teacher for a year. If the government doesn’t agree, then the world is a goner!

One thing’s for sure—he’s no ordinary teacher. He’s actually the BEST TEACHER EVER! 2-Sword Art Online(An Action-Fantasy Anime)

Anime lovers who are also fond of MMORPGs were excited to find out that Sword Art Online, the Japanese light novel series, has been adapted into an anime. Although there are a lot of criticisms about the overall quality of Sword Art Online, there is no doubt that it is well-liked by many anime fans.

Plot summary

The Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (VRMMORPG), Sword Art Online (SAO), is released in the year 2022. It allows players to control their in-game characters with their minds, using a virtual reality helmet called Nerve Gear. The players' excitement turns into horror as they soon discover that they cannot log out of the game. They are informed by Kayaba Akihiko, the creator of SAO, that the only way to return to the real world is to reach the 100th floor and defeat the final boss.

3-No Game No Life

No Game No Life is a relatively new anime series that was released on April 9, 2014. Online anime communities are littered with discussions comparing SAO andNo Game No Life—again because both anime have the same setting. This anime, however, doesn’t have as much action since it is more of an adventure-themed, supernatural anime. It has many comedy scenes and fun games which make it very enjoyable to watch.

The Similarity:

Nanatsu no Taizai is a grand adventure-action anime. What makes it great is that it follows a very well-balanced formula that actually makes sense. The battles aren’t just mindless fights where the characters throw in everything they’ve got; they are set up in such a way that you feel the excitement and thrill in every turn and twist.  The characters are on an exhilarating adventure with surprises jumping out now and then. Lastly, the plot is extravagant and highly engaging! It’s funny when you need it to be comedic, and it’s serious when the situation asks for it. Truly, this anime, much likeHunter X Hunter, can get you really involved and engaged with the story, it progress, and its characters.

6-High School DxD

High School DxD is one of the most successful harem anime in recent years. Its enormous popularity led to the release of a second season, High School DxD New, in July of 2013. A third anime television series, High School DxD BorN will premiere in April 2015. This series has proven that even a fan service show can be entertaining when combined with a fantastic plot and captivating character development.

High School DxD Plot:

The story follows a horny high school student named Issei Hyodo, who dreams of being surrounded by women and is enrolled at a formerly all-girls high school with a secret. The secret is that angels, fallen angels, and devils comprise part of the student population. After an ordinary day at school, Issei is asked out on a date by a woman who turns out to be a fallen angel and tries to kill him. Issei subsequently gets revived by a devil, Rias Gremory, who forces him to serve her devil family.

Highschool of the Dead is a horror harem anime released in Japan in July 2010. It differs from other anime with a high school theme. It is also a straight up horror anime.

Plot Summary

The story revolves around a group of high school students who are caught in the middle of a deadly pandemic referred to as Them. This plague turns humans into zombies, and every person in town is in grave danger. The group tries to survive the outbreak, but there are several challenges along the way. Fellow survivors pose threats, and enemies surround our heroes wherever they go.

How long will the group last? Will they be able to rescue other survivors they come across? You'll have to watch to find out!

Especially when the aforesaid diclonius bears unparalleled hate and loathing towards humanity. It will stop at nothing just to exact its vengeful spite upon the whole human race. But then, destiny brings the diclonius on a fateful encounter with her childhood friend, the boy who was the only friend she ever had in her miserable life.

Elfen Lied is an anime that is capable of fully traumatizing anyone with its gore and sad plot. The violence and gore already makes up for the horror and its way of terrorizing you. But then, the heart-breaking story also does its work by leaving you depressed throughout its course. Combine these elements and you get an anime that scars you in terror and leaves you in despair.

This anime, Elfen Lied, brings out the terror of hell unleashed upon your trembling soul. Watch it with caution if you wish to survive till the end.
