Although there are a lot of criticisms about the overall quality of Sword Art Online, there is no doubt that it is well-liked by many anime fans.
Plot summary
The Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (VRMMORPG), Sword Art Online (SAO), is released in the year 2022. It allows players to control their in-game characters with their minds, using a virtual reality helmet called Nerve Gear. The players' excitement turns into horror as they soon discover that they cannot log out of the game. They are informed by Kayaba Akihiko, the creator of SAO, that the only way to return to the real world is to reach the 100th floor and defeat the final boss.

No Game No Life is a relatively new anime series that was released on April 9, 2014. Nanatsu no Taizai is a grand adventure-action anime. What makes it great is that it follows a very well-balanced formula that actually makes sense. The battles aren’t just mindless fights where the characters throw in everything they’ve got; they are set up in such a way that you feel the excitement and thrill in every turn and twist. The characters are on an exhilarating adventure with surprises jumping out now and then. Lastly, the plot is extravagant and highly engaging! It’s funny when you need it to be comedic, and it’s serious when the situation asks for it. Truly, this anime, much likeHunter X Hunter, can get you really involved and engaged with the story, it progress, and its characters.
6-High School DxD
High School DxD is one of the most successful harem anime in recent years. Its enormous popularity led to the release of a second season, High School DxD New, in July of 2013. A third anime television series, High School DxD BorN will premiere in April 2015. This series has proven that even a fan service show can be entertaining when combined with a fantastic plot and captivating character development.

Elfen Lied is an anime that is capable of fully traumatizing anyone with its gore and sad plot. The violence and gore already makes up for the horror and its way of terrorizing you. But then, the heart-breaking story also does its work by leaving you depressed throughout its course. Combine these elements and you get an anime that scars you in terror and leaves you in despair.
This anime, Elfen Lied, brings out the terror of hell unleashed upon your trembling soul. Watch it with caution if you wish to survive till the end.
